Voila. First ride in the book. Really windy out. 12 strava records. Some Quicky McQuickerton tried to jump the line at El Monte – so I said ‘ok, I’m in’ and took off after him. There we were at 31 mph+ – what a blast.
Lots to get used to moving from the hybrid to the road bike, but the fit is there.
It was REALLY windy out, and the bike handled well in the wind. The Fuji I’d been riding earlier was like riding a kite in the wind – the front wheel really felt every shift of the wind.
Hills tomorrow – we’ll see how climbing is with 15 or so less pounds to lug up the hill.
